Rossano Zanetti, Lumezzane and Italy’s pride

Rossano Zanetti is 47 year old artisan, with a very busy private and professional life and a passion: the passion for skiing.

Rossano’s beautiful story, who is also called “Zanno”, has been enriching the story of the KL Gussago ski club for several seasons. A champion committed to defend the honour and colours of his Lumezzane team and of his country both at home and abroad.

In the Master Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria, he dominated in the M4 category: he remained in the lead throughout the first round and then he conquered a glorious silver medal after he was surpassed by the Czech David Horacek. In front of everyone in the middle of the competition, in the second round, the victory was awarded to the Czech Horacek for only three hundredths of a second.

The competition took place on a very hard track, almost a slab of ice, because the track was injected with water. It was very difficult to stay balanced, but Rossano Zanetti was called to face the situation and he was able to amaze us. He did it again this time, impressing us with his strength and determination, joined with a good dose of class that accompanies him since he participated in the youth circuits.
